Kids with Asthma Breathe Easier with Acupuncture

Asthma is a serious problem in the United States and around the world. Today 9 million children in the U.S. suffer from asthma — that’s a 75% increase since 1980! Many parents are looking for ways to reduce asthma symptoms beyond conventional medical treatments. As a pediatric acupuncturist I routinely treat children with asthma so I was excited when, Dr. Russell Faust, author of the popular blog, Ask the Boogor Doctor, asked me to address this topic. Now, as you can tell from the name of his blog, he doesn’t take things too seriously except for his goal of helping kids by taking an integrated and holistic approach to healthcare!
There was so much great information to share about asthma that we broke the post into two sections to cover all your questions.
